Introduction
The Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in Pune, conducts Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Exam, annually as a qualifying examination for students who wish to seek admission in Engineering or B.Tech courses in their University. This exam is alco commonly called the BVP CET.

Brief History of the BVP CET
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University had a very humble beginning in 1964 in a small room tucked in a remote corner of Pune. Established by Dr. Patangrao Kadam, a part-time school teacher, the University sought to provide knowledge and opportunity to the local Maharashtrian students in Pune who wish to study professional courses.

The Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University manages 78 schools and 60 colleges of which many offer professional courses such as Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurved, Homeopathy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Environment Science, Agriculture. Apart from educational institutions, the University has also established five specialized research centers in Health Related Sciences, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Applied Chemistry and Social Sciences.

Recognizing the need for education and knowledge not only in the major cities but also in remote areas of the state, the University has campuses in many areas within Maharashtra state – Pune, Mumbai, Sangli, Kolhapur, Solapur, Karad, Palus and Kadegaon. Apart from these areas, the University also has a presence in New Delhi and Dubai.

BVP CET Eligibility
Students who wish to seek admission in any of the Engineering colleges that come under the umbrella of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University will have to appear for the Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Examination.

The eligibility criteria for this entrance exam is that the student should have passed the intermediate 10 +2 or Indian School Certificate or any other equivalent examination with subjects — Mathematics, Chemistry Physics and English. It is also mandatory for the student to score a minimum of 50% marks in either Mathematics or Physics and in any one of the optional subjects in the 12th or ISC examination. SC/ST students will need to score at least 45% in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The application forms for the Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Exam are normally made available online from the last week of March. However it is recommended that the students check the official website – http://www.bharatividyapeeth.edu for the exact date of availability of the form.

You can also order the application form through post from either of these centers by sending a written application along with a Demand Draft. (Please check the official website – http://www.bharatividyapeeth.edu to know the cost of the application form). The DD should be taken in a nationalized bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd., in favor of Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth University payable at Pune. Students should also provide the following details in back of the DD — Name, Address, Entrance exam name and contact number. They also provide their contact address and phone numbers in the letter that they enclose along with the request for application form.

Online Application
Students can also fill in the application form the exam online and take a print out of the same and send it across to the above mentioned University address. Students should also make note or take a photocopy of the application number and the payment receipt for the same until the admission process is completed.

Exam Pattern for the Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Exam
Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Examination has an objective-type pattern. There will be overall 200 questions from subjects Mathematics and Physics (100 questions each).

How to Prepare for the Examination?
The syllabus for the examination will be based on the CBSE and State Board curriculum of 11th and 12th standard. Unlike other entrance examinations there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

BVP CET Timetable and Important Dates
The application form for the entrance examination is normally available by third week of March (Both offline and online). The completed application form must be submitted to the University by second week of May. The entrance examination is normally held in the last week of May. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website (http://www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net/AdmitCard.aspx) from the first week of May. The results of the examination normally declared in the third week of June. Students can check the results in the following sites – www.bvuniversity.edu.in or www.bvucoepune.edu.in.

Counseling and Admission for the Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Exam
Once you have successfully cleared the entrance examination you can apply for any of these engineering courses available in the colleges that are managed by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University -

Students will need to bring in their original marksheet, migration certificate, transfer certificate and attendance certificate (if applicable) while coming for counseling.
