Introduction
Admission Test for ICFAI Tech otherwise known as ATIT is the qualifying examination that you will have to crack if you are seeking admission in the ICFAI University for their B Tech programs. Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India popularly known as ICFAI offer a variety of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Management, Science &Technology, Finance, Education and Law. The ICFAI University also offers various online courses for working professionals and students in cities — Dehradun, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland, Jharkhand, Raipur, Jaipur and Mizoram. Each of the ICFAI University is an independent institution.


Ranked among the top 25 engineering colleges in India, the B.Tech program offered by this University is much sought after by students.

Brief History of the ICFAI ATIT
Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts came into existence in the year 1984 in Hyderabad. Recognized by the Indian Societies Registration Act, many Engineering colleges, Universities and Business Schools use ICFAI certification programs in their institution. ICFAI also has a presence in Sri Lanka, Colombo, established under the name ICFAI Education Lanka (IEL) where it offers Degree and PG programs in collaboration with some State Level Universities in South Australia.

ICFAI ATIT Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for ATIT is that the students should passed their 12th standard examination or its equivalent with minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. 12th standard students who have appeared for their Board exams and are awaiting results can also apply to write ATIT examination.

B. Tech Programs offered by ICFAI is a four-year certification course in the following streams –

How to Apply for the ICFAI ATIT?
Students who wish to appear for ATIT examination can apply by following methods –

Online Application
Students can also apply for the same by downloading the application form from the site — http://www.atitindia.org. Payment for the application form can be done through credit card or debit card. Online applicants should read through the submission process carefully and keep the documents that are necessary for submission. These documents can be scanned and attached along with the online application form.

After submitting the application form, you will need to take a print out of the acknowledgement mail that you will receive in your email. The University will send a registration number and a password, which you will need to use to download the hall ticket for the entrance examination if you are selected to write this exam.

Postal Application
Alternatively, you can also download the application from their official website – http://www.atitindia.org and take print out. Fill in the form completely and send it by post to the University where you wish to apply. You will have to enclose a DD along with the necessary documents. The amount for which you will have to take the DD and the name will be given in the website when you download.

Offline Application
Application forms for the ATIT examinations can be bought directly from the campus where you are applying. The address of the University where you wish to apply can be got from their official website – http://www.icfaiuniversity.in/index.asp. Completed application forms can be directly submitted at the campus of each University.

Postal and offline applicants will receive their hall tickets by post. In case they do not receive it by first week of May, they will need to inform the University for duplicate admit cards.

ICFAI ATIT Timetable and Important Dates
The application form for ATIT is generally between the months March- April every year. Students will need to submit their ATIT application form by the third week of May. The University will start issuing admit cards to the students from first week of May. The ATIT examination is held during the first week of June and the results are declared in the fourth week of June.

ATIT Pattern
The ATIT examination is a three-hour multiple-choice question from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The students will be provided with an answer sheet where they will be required to mark the correct answer. There will be three sections in the question paper, one section for each subject mentioned above. There will be 50 questions for each subject and 30 questions will be asked from General English.

How to Prepare for the ATIT
The syllabus of ATIT is based on 12th standard CBSE and State Board curriculum. There are also many reference books and sample question papers available online that can be used as reference. Mock tests and previous year’s question papers are available in the official website of ATIT -http://www.atitindia.org.

ICFAI ATIT Admission Process
Admission to B.Tech programs in ICFAI University is based the ATIT exams and also on the AIEEE examination score. Students who are applying for admission based on their ATIT score or any other state level engineering entrance examination need not take the ATIT test. Students who have not appeared for AIEEE or any other entrance examination will have to take the ATIT test. Admission is granted strictly on the basis of test scores ether ATIT or the AIEEE score and rank. Students are normally selected for the course based on their academic record and due weightage is also given to their sports and extra-curricular activities.

Selected students will be called for a personal interview at the campus where the student’s attitude and goals will be discussed. If you are selected at the interview and they will be required to bring your original certificates and domicile certificate, which needs to be shown to the Management. If your admission is through, you will also be required to sign an affidavit about the “No Ragging” clause and submit the same to the Management.
